Molina is part of the Faraday Rocketry team at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, which holds the national university altitude record for rocket launches and won the European University Rocketry Challenge in Portugal last October.

Participants were then treated to a welcome dinner in the cathedral cloister, featuring live performances by flamenco artists Anabel Veloso (dancer), Rocio Zamora (singer), and guitarist Gabriel Perez.

A key part of the forum took place in the auditorium of the Museum of Contemporary Spanish Realism (Murec), located in the old provincial hospital of Almeria. This museum is unique in Spain, devoted entirely to contemporary Spanish realism with works from renowned artists like Zuloaga, Sorolla, Romero de Torres, Antonio Lopez, and Maria Moreno.

During the forum, experts discussed flamenco’s status as a universal cultural heritage and how it has evolved into a prominent tourism product. Liam Howarth, flamenco guitarist and strategic consultant, opened the session with a presentation on flamenco’s journey from heritage to an excellent tourism offering.

Further panels focused on innovation in marketing flamenco experiences and insights from travel professionals who integrate flamenco into their tours. Key speakers included Julio Ojeda, founder of Dunacandela; Trinidad Blanco, CEO of Ideas Market Experiences; and the archaeologist and co-founder of Iverem Patrimonio Cultural, Jose Fernando Corrochano.

The afternoon session closed with a discussion featuring specialists and flamenco artists. Notable participants were Norberto Torres, a historian of flamenco guitar; Ana Mar Garcia de Quero, a flamenco singer and the first woman from Almeria to earn the Superior Degree in Flamenco Singing; and Carlos Gonzalez Marcos, luthier and conservator at the Almeria Guitar Museum.

The forum also incorporated hands-on cultural activities. Delegates participated in a ‘Flamenco Gymkhana’ that included visits to the Spanish Guitar Museum ‘Antonio de Torres’ and attendance at the flamenco performance ‘Vengo Jondo’ by the Marco Flores Company, part of the 59th Flamenco and Dance Festival of Almeria.

Beyond flamenco, guests enjoyed an adventure day exploring the natural beauty of Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park by 4×4 vehicles and boat, blending culture with the region’s stunning landscapes. The forum was supported by several local institutions, including the Almeria City Council.
